Christopher CushionDental Brokers
For Sellers

Sell the practice you built. On your terms.

We represent a small number of practice owners each year — dentists who have built something exceptional and intend to exit accordingly. Every engagement begins privately, moves deliberately, and is judged not by the speed of the sale but by the quality of the outcome.

The Engagement

What it means to be represented.

From the day we sign an engagement, you have one principal advisor and a coordinated team of specialists working a single objective: the highest-quality transaction for your practice, in the time frame you set.

  • One principal contact. You speak with Christopher directly — not an assistant, not a junior broker.
  • Confidentiality by default. NDAs precede every buyer conversation. Your staff, patients, suppliers, and competitors are not informed.
  • Earnings-based pricing. The asking price is built on three years of normalised financials, current Canadian comparables, and defensible methodology.
  • A curated buyer pool. Solo dentists, partnerships, family offices, and institutional acquirers — pre-qualified before they see the practice name.
  • Specialist integration. Dental accountants, transition counsel, lenders and premises advisors we work with on every file.
When To Engage Us

The right time is earlier than you think.

Owners who engage two to three years before sale almost always realise materially more than those who engage at the point of decision. We can begin quietly, at any horizon.

Within 12 months

You are decided. We move directly to valuation, CIM preparation, and a confidential buyer process. Most engagements at this stage close within six to nine months.

12–36 months out

We complete a strategic valuation, identify the two or three levers most likely to compound value, and quietly prepare the practice and its records for a future market.

3–10 years out

A value-build advisory engagement. Annual or bi-annual reviews, scenario planning, and successor-readiness work for owners thinking about legacy, not just liquidity.

Transitions

Associate buy-ins, partnership unwinds, phased exits.

Not every owner wants a single closing date. We design and run phased transitions — associate-to-partner buy-ins, partnership dissolutions, two-stage exits with continued clinical involvement — coordinating tax structure with your accountant and agreements with your counsel.

Premises & Real Estate

The building is not an afterthought.

Where you own the premises, the structure of the real estate transaction can materially change the after-tax outcome of the practice sale. We advise on the two together — separately marketed, sold together, or held with a long lease back.

Begin Quietly

A first conversation is always confidential, never obligated.

We will spend an hour understanding your practice and your timeline. If we are the right firm for you, we will say so. If we are not, we will say that too.
